Welcome to Tiki Island home of the Neon Tiki Tribe. A series of new Super Hero stories with tales of action and adventure, combined with “real life” educational messages.
Who’s ready for some kickball? Greg coaches the Superheroes. Not the Neon Tiki Tribe but the neighborhood kids team which includes Isaac, Maya, and many others. They’re playing the “Raiders” coached by the not so ethical Sam Selfish.
Greg’s team gets off to a winning start but when Sam’s team starts to fall behind, he calls in some reserves aka his evil buddies over at the Ku Tiki Tribe. Sam and the Ku Tikis will do anything to win so they brought in the their newest evil menacing device nicknamed the “Humbug.” The Neon Tikis start to notice some funny stuff going on from the stands and have to decide whether or not to step-in.
Can the Superheroes and the Neon Tiki Tribe overcome bad sportsmanship and this evil flying troublemaker named “Humbug”? Will the Raiders and Sam Selfish learn the meaning of being a good sport? Read Braakus and the Hidden Humbug to see what it means to have true sportsmanship no matter what the score is in the game.
(Parents / Teachers / Guardians– With fierce competition in so many areas of our lives, “Bad Sportsmanship” sadly surrounds us. We say to kids that many times, how you act when you “lose” is sometimes more important than when you win. It’s easy to be happy when you win but if you’re able to hold your head high and congratulate the other person, or team that has “won the match” you truly know the meaning of being a “good sport.” We hope this book helps “start the conversation” about sportsmanship).
